We have earlier presented the TANA ProTrack remote management system as a standard feature to our Gx Series landfill compactors and Shark slow-speed shredders. With a perspective of a few years of monitoring and every day use, there are some user experiences we'd like to bring to your attention and knowledge.
As the waste management becomes more and more controlled and environmental awareness increases, advanced monitoring and reporting systems are required. It is therefor highly valued that all data is stored into the machine-specific database and can be retrieved and analyzed whenever required.
The primary waste to value features of the TANA ProTrack system are defined by our customer Saubermacher-Hungary Ltd. as decreased fuel consumption and a remarkable change in idle hours. The operational reports are available in the optional report pack which enables gathering the above-mentioned information.
The report package offers a possiblity to export all gathered data to a spredsheet from which a variety of reports can be created based on user needs. On a daily basis the summarizing report has proved to be the mainly used one. Reported information is considered to be suffiecient but customers would like to build a more in-depth knowledge on how to analyze the provided information further and implement it to their daily operations. The worldwide Tana distributor network supports customers in report management and provides relevant training.
The reason Saubermacher-Hungary chose to order the report package to their landfill compactors was their keen interest in monitoring their machine use: how it is operated during a workshift as operatorwise information can be gathered through a personalized USB key. The main emphasis was how ever on the fuel consumption. The TANA ProTrack reports were also used for comparasion with accounting information for optimal budgeting and resource allocation.
The standard TANA ProTrack service pack offers instant trouble-shooting over the internet. This feature can be used both by the customer, the dsitributor and the Tana after sales and service team regardless of time and place as information is transferred online in real-time. This may save remarkable costs in travel time and machine downtime. Critical alarm notifications are sent by e-mail to specified receivers which enables prompt reactions to such alarms minimizing possible damage.
The scheduled service intervals are preset into the system for best possible anticipation. The service record is always available as all data is stored.
Tana has introduced a complimenting tool to further improve working and landfill efficiency, the TANA ProLoc.
