Product: TANA Shark 440EM mobile electric shredder
OTTO DÖRNER GmbH & Co. KG, one of the leading waste management companies in Northern Germany, needed a powerful shredder for demanding use. The company first tested a TANA Shark diesel-powered slow-speed shredder at their waste treatment plant in Tornesch. The rented machine lived up to OTTO DÖRNER’s expectations, and so the company acquired an electric TANA Shark 440EM machine. After its first 50 hours of use, the company is very pleased with the shredder’s performance. As a bonus, the electric shredder’s noise levels are lower compared to the diesel version.
Rolls and rolled-up chunks of different sizes and shapes are delivered to OTTO DÖRNER waste management facility. TANA Shark doesn’t mind sticky tape rolls. It shreds the gluey material effortlessly and makes it possible to recycle it.
OTTO DÖRNER needs the unit to shred challenging waste material from a nearby tape manufacturing company. It is delivered in rolls and rolled-up chunks of different sizes and shapes. Waste consisting of tape production left-over materials is extremely sticky. This makes it one of the toughest wastes to process. None of the previously tested brands or machines could manage the challenge, but the TANA Shark doesn’t mind sticky tape rolls. It shreds the gluey material effortlessly and makes it possible to recycle it.
OTTO DÖRNER GmbH & Co. KG has 35 locations and about 1,000 employees in Germany. They offer a wide range of services and expertise in waste management and circular economy, such as disposal and recycling of waste, demolition, remediation, and gravel and sand materials for construction.
