“This new TANA product line is based on an agreement between Tana Oy and Ecostar Srl, which manufactures disc screens and has over 20 years of experience. From now on, TANA will sell the mobile units in most markets, and Ecostar will continue the stationary applications,” explains Ms. Mirja Yli-Erkkilä, Vice President of Tana Oy.
The easily movable, light machinery can provide up to three screened sizes. Adjustments are made by changing the shaft rotation speed and machine inclination. Since conveying the material is not based on gravity or vibration, the device capacity is high and screening is efficient. However, high efficiency and capacity do not mean high power or high fuel consumption. The screen has very low operating costs; therefore, the cost per processed waste ton remains low, which means more profit for the bottom line.
“I am really impressed with the TANA TE mobile disc screen. It is the best machine to screen waste. It is better than the drum screen or star screen. It is the only screen that can do everything well—wood, green waste, soil, and compost—which is why it works so well with the TANA Shark waste shredder. The mobility of the machine is important because of its versatility and ability to screen almost any material. Compared to star screens, the service and maintenance costs of a disc screen are much lower,” says Mr. Philippe Potier, Sales Director of Smart Equipment in Benelux and France.
Although it is light and movable, the new mobile device has a 10× better capacity compared to a traditional drum screen solution, and it fits in 6–9 feet of space instead of the 16–19 feet required for equivalent drum screen. The service and maintenance costs of this new disc screen are much lower compared to a star screen, for instance.
The new TANA mobile disc screen was introduced in the beginning of March 2017, and it is available from TANA distributors. The first deliveries will be made before this summer. For more information, please contact your closest TANA distributor at www.tana.fi/sales-service.
The mobile unit is available as a hook-lift model (in the picture) or a track-drive model.
Since conveying the material is not based on gravity or vibration, the device capacity is high and screening is efficient.
The patented Ecostar anti-clogging system enables trouble-free screening of difficult materials without the wrapping and plugging that would quickly clog and blind conventional screening equipment.
