Tana together with Tana’s UK distributor Warwick Ward Machinery Ltd introduced the benefits of TANA Smart Site concept connected to the new Tana 6D Drum Screen at the Recycling and Waste Management Exhibition (RWM) in Birmingham on September 2015.
- The benefits from real-time data-driven management of waste processes are inspiring. Several pilot projects are already up and going in the UK. After these pilots we are able to share more experience about how our customers have been able to utilize the gathered data to enhance their business, says Kari Kangas, CEO of Tana Ltd.
One concrete example of the data driven management is the daily morning report sent to the mobile phone of the machine owner or Site Manager.
- Morning report shows the key performance indicators of the last day: figures of throughput, idle and fuel consumption give the managers information about how the processes run. If any critical changes are seen, it is easy to navigate into the TANA Smart Site -online service to find out reasons and how to fix the problems in the process. In addition, for TANA Smart Site users the real-time information is also available for the operator helping him to feed the TANA Shark waste shredder more efficiently, Kangas gives an example.
